I was very happy to see your site and wanted to offer a talk “Who needs a second language?” about the academic, social and emotional aspect of multilingualism. Into that presentation I bring my experience with diverse cultural groups in Thailand, USA, Israel, Singapore and Australia with hundreds of students and families, their challenges and triumphs with their second language.
This talk was presented in Australia in many organisations like: Queensland Government – Department of Communities, IPAA – Institute of Public Administrators Queensland, UQ -University of Queensland, Dyslexia Centre, MLTAC – The Modern Language Teacher’s Association, C&K annual conference, ECTA – Early Childhood Teachers Association, WIZO – Women’s International Zionist Organisation.
I’ll be happy to spread the word of second language and help create the awareness to understanding what is behind the second language with endless examples and practical tips of preserving primary languages for children.
If you wish to read the article that was posted in Multicultural QLD and ECTA let me know and I will email it to you.

Please do email me any articles or supporting documents and I’ll add a specific post about your talks, so you’re added to our list of resources.
Maybe we could also give you some exposure through the Languages Education in Australia email newsletter (see link in left sidebar).
